And as He was yet speaking, behold a crowd! And he who was called Judas, one of the Twelve, went before them. And he drew near Jesus to kiss Him. But Jesus said to him, Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?

And Joab said to Amasa, Are you well, my brother? And Joab took Amasa by the beard with the right hand to kiss him. And Amasa was not on guard against the sword that was in Joab's hand. And he struck him with it in the belly, and poured out his bowels to the ground. And he did not strike him again. And he died. And Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

Then he who had betrayed Him, seeing that He was condemned, sorrowing, Judas returned the thirty pieces of silver again to the chief priests and elders, saying, I have sinned, betraying innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? You see to that. And he threw the pieces of silver down in the temple and departed. And he went and hanged himself.

And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. And the children shall rise up against their parents and cause them to be put to death.

And a brother will betray a brother to death, and a father his son. And children will rise up against their parents and will cause them to be put to death.

And you shall be betrayed also by parents and brothers and kinsmen and friends. And they will cause some of you to be put to death.

And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and plot to change times and laws. And they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and one-half time.

For I have come to set a man against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes shall be those of his own household.

For the son dishonors the father; the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man's enemies are the men of his own household.

And then many will be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another.

But I will not completely take My loving-kindness from him, and I will not be false in My faithfulness.

It is better to trust in Jehovah than to trust in man.

A Song of degrees. They who trust in Jehovah shall be like Mount Zion; it is not shaken, but remains forever.

The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Jehovah shall be safe.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You. Trust in Jehovah forever; for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.

For this cause I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard My deposit unto that Day.
