16 Bible Verses about Cheerfulness

A glad heart maketh a cheerful countenance; But by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.

And Jehovah their God will save them in that day as the flock of his people; for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted on high over his land. For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.

And when they were come out of the boat, straightway the people knew him, and ran round about that whole region, and began to carry about on their beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.

These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God: Yea, let them rejoice with gladness.

This is the day which Jehovah hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart; And good tidings make the bones fat.

A cheerful heart is a good medicine; But a broken spirit drieth up the bones.

or ministry, let us give ourselves to our ministry; or he that teacheth, to his teaching; or he that exhorteth, to his exhorting: he that giveth, let him do it with liberality; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praise.

Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth, and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thy heart, and in the sight of thine eyes; but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even so as it hath been spoken unto me.

Then were they all of good cheer, and themselves also took food.
