And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

But he answering said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word which goes out through God's mouth.

And Jesus answered unto him saying, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Ye have heard that it was said to the ancients, Thou shalt not kill; but whosoever shall kill shall be subject to the judgment.

But he said to them, Have ye not read what David did when he was hungry, and they that were with him? How he entered into the house of God, and ate the shewbread, which it was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those with him, but for the priests only? Or have ye not read in the law that on the sabbaths the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?read more.
But I say unto you, that there is here what is greater than the temple. But if ye had known what is: I will have mercy and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven. But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read what was spoken to you by God, saying,read more.
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not God of the dead, but of the living.
