Think of what I say, for the Lord will give thee understanding in all things.

For Jehovah giveth wisdom; out of his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his duty;

And whilst I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God; whilst I was yet speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, Daniel, I am now come forth to make thee skilful of understanding.

Then he opened their understanding to understand the scriptures, and said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved the Christ to suffer, and to rise from among the dead the third day; and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations beginning at Jerusalem.

And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Then they comprehended that he did not speak of being beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

but according as it is written, Things which eye has not seen, and ear not heard, and which have not come into man's heart, which God has prepared for them that love him, but God has revealed to us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who of men hath known the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? thus also the things of God knows no one except the Spirit of God.read more.
But we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we may know the things which have been freely given to us of God: which also we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, communicating spiritual things by spiritual means.

The woman says to him, Sir, I see that thou art a prophet.

yea, if thou criest after discernment and liftest up thy voice to understanding; if thou seekest her as silver and searchest for her as for hidden treasures: then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah, and find the knowledge of God.

My son, let them not depart from thine eyes; keep sound wisdom and discretion:

The heart of an intelligent man getteth knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.

But if any one of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all freely and reproaches not, and it shall be given to him:

From thy precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false path.

And Peter taking him to him began to rebuke him, saying, God be favourable to thee, Lord; this shall in no wise be unto thee.

And he spoke the thing openly. And Peter, taking him to him, began to rebuke him.

And he said to them, O senseless and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

Jesus answered and said to him, Thou art the teacher of Israel and knowest not these things!

She runs therefore and comes to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, to whom Jesus was attached, and says to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him.
