And it shall come to pass, because ye hearken to these ordinances, and keep and do them, that LORD thy God will keep with thee the covenant and the loving kindness which he swore to thy fathers. And six years thou shall sow thy land, and shall gather in the increase of it, but the seventh year thou shall let it rest and lay fallow, that the poor of thy people may eat, and what they leave the beast of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shall deal with thy vineyard, [and] with thy oliveyard.

However on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruits of the land, ye shall keep the feast of LORD seven days. On the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest.

For [there shall be] the seed of peace. The vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its increase, and the heavens shall give their dew. And I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things.

Elijah was a man of the same nature as we. And by prayer, he asked for it not to rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
