As soon as the boy was gone, David arose from beside the mound, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times. They kissed one another, and wept one with another, and David wept the most. He arose and departed; and Jonathan went into the city.

So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years. King David longed to go forth to Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, since he was dead.

David said, "Is there yet any who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?"

My soul rests in God alone. My salvation is from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress?I will never be greatly shaken.
