I am brought into so great trouble and misery, that I go mourning all the day long.

Heaviness discourageth the heart of man, but a good word maketh it glad again.

The heart is sorrowful even in laughter; and the end of mirth is heaviness.

It is better to be sorry than to laugh, for when the countenance is heavy the heart is joyful.

And the LORD said unto Cain, "Why art thou angry, and why lowerest thou? Knowest thou not, if thou dost well thou shalt receive it?

But she said unto them, "Call me not Naomi: call me Mara, for the Almighty hath made me very bitter.

And those same that remain shall lift up their voice, and be glad, and shall magnify the glory of the LORD, even from the sea

If the priest see that the plague is in the walls of the house, and that there be hollow streaks pale or red which seem to be lower than the other parts of the wall,

A good stomach driveth away a man's disease; but when the spirit is vexed, who may abide it?
