Then the woman left her water-pot, and went into the city, and said to the men: Come, see a man who has told me all things that I ever did. Is not this the Christ?
Do you not yet understand, nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up? Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets you took up?
Having eyes, do you not see? and having ears, do you not hear? and do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up? They said to him: Twelve. When I broke the seven among the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up? They replied: Seven.
