But Jesus answered them, Ye are mistaken, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God:

These were more ingenuous than those at Thessalonica; for they received the word with all readiness of mind, searching the scriptures daily, whether these things were so. And therefore many of them believed: and of the Grecian women of quality, and of men likewise not a few.

and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith in Christ Jesus: for all scripture is by inspiration from God, and is profitable for doctrine, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly fitted for every good work.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. So that the Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

and He will give you another comforter to abide with you for ever: even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him, because He abideth with you, and shall be in you.

But as it is written, "Eye hath not seen, and ear hath not heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, what things God hath prepared for those that love Him." But God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, even the deep things of God.

He answered, and said, Whether He be a sinner, I know not: but one thing I know, that I who was blind, do now see.

but Jesus did not permit him; but saith to him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee: and he departed, and published in Decapolis, how great things Jesus had done for him, and they were all amazed.

saying, Return home, and relate what God hath done for thee. So he went away publishing through the whole city what great things Jesus had done to him.

therefore the woman left her water-pot, and went away into the city, and saith to the people, Come, see a man who hath told me all that ever I did; is not this the Christ?

Do ye not yet understand, nor remember the five loaves divided among five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? nor the seven loaves among four thousand, and how many baskets-full ye took away?

Have ye eyes, and do not see? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did ye take up? They answer, Twelve. And when I divided the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? and they said, Seven.
