For as the Father hath life in Himself, so hath He given also to the Son to have life in Himself. And hath given Him authority also to execute judgement, because He is the Son of man. Wonder not at this; for the time is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth, they that have done good to the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil to the resurrection of damnation. Think not that I shall accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For if ye believed Moses, ye would believe me; for he wrote concerning me: but if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

And He said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all the things must be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and Psalms, concerning me. Then He opened their mind, to understand the scriptures: and said unto them, thus it is written, and thus it was necessary that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead on the third day;
