Then came Amalek and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said unto Joshua, "Choose out men and go fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill and the rod of God in mine hand." And Joshua did as Moses bade him, and fought with the Amalekites. And Moses, Aaron and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

And the Philistine said, "I have defied the host of Israel this day; give me a man and let us fight together."

And David said to Saul, "Let no man's heart fail him because of him. Thy servant will go and fight with his Philistine."

I therefore so run, not as at an uncertain thing. So fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
