12 Bible Verses about Questioning Life

And I turned to cause my heart to despair over all the labor which I did under the sun. When there is a man whose labor is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and with success; yet to a man who has not labored in it, he shall leave it for his share. This also is vanity and a great evil. For what has man from all his labor, and from the troubling of his heart, in which he has labored under the sun?

What is the profit to a man in all his labor which he labors under the sun?

What profit does he have who works in that in which he labors?

O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

Righteous are You, O Jehovah, that I might contend with You; yet let me speak with You about Your judgments. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are all those happy who deal treacherously?

And He said to him, Why do you call Me good? There is none good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.

Who has set its measurements, for you know? Or who has stretched the line on it? On what are its bases sunk, or who cast its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke forth as it came from the womb? And the people spoke against God and against Moses, Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water. And our soul hates this light bread.

And in those days men will seek death and will not find it. And they will long to die, and death will flee from them.
