If thou shalt meet thy enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again. If thou shalt see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.

The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

Rejoice not when thy enemy falleth, and let not thy heart be glad when he stumbleth:

Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.

If thy enemy shall hunger, give him bread to eat; and if he shall thirst, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD will reward thee.

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Bless them who persecute you; bless, and curse not.

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
