For we brought nothing into the world: it is manifest that neither can we carry any thing out.

Charge the rich in this world not to be high-minded, neither to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy: To do good, to be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate, Treasuring up for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give, in exchange for his soul?

For what is a man profited, if he gain the whble world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

But Abraham said, Son, remember, that thou in thy life-time receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And besides all this, between us and you, there is a great gulph fixed; so that they who would pass from us to you, cannot, neither can they pass to us that would come from thence.

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; as it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
