But ye killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.

Neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed any thing, he himself giving to all life and breath, and all things.

For in him we live and move, and have our being; as certain likewise of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Who know not what shall be on the morrow; for what is your life? It is a vapour that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away: Instead of your saying, If the Lord will, we shall both live, and do this or that.

Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go to such a city, and continue there a year, and traffick, and get gain: Who know not what shall be on the morrow; for what is your life? It is a vapour that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away:

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men,

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give, in exchange for his soul?

Yea I think it right, so long as I am in this tabernacle to stir you up by reminding you: Knowing that shortly I must put off my tabernacle, even as the Lord Jesus Christ shewed me.
