These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall conquer them, because he is the Lord of lords, and King of kings: and with him are the called, and the elect, and the faithful.
And he has on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King of kings, and Lord of lords.
He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: and He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His Kingdom there shall be no end.
For David, indeed having served his own generation according to the will of God, went to sleep, and did see corruption: but he, whom God raised up, did not see corruption.
And Jesus responding spoke, teaching in the temple, How do the scribes say that Christ is the son of David? For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, the Lord said unto my Lord; Sit thou on my right hand, until I may make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet! Then David himself calls Him Lord; and whence is He his son? And the great multitude were hearing Him delightfully.
And the Pharisees being assembled, Jesus asked them, saying, What seems to you concerning the Christ? whose son is He? They say to Him, Of David. He says to them, How then does David in the Spirit call Him Lord, saying,read more.
