At that time Jesus answering said, I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and intelligent, and hast revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for so it has seemed good in thy sight. All things are given me by my Father; and no one knows the Son but the Father; and no one knows the Father but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
In the same hour he rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for so it has seemed good in thy sight. And turning to his disciples, he said, All things are delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is but the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
And to him that is able to confirm you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery not revealed in ancient times, but made manifest now by the scriptures of the prophets, by the command of the eternal God, for the obedience of the faith among all nations,
for I neither received it from man nor was I taught it, but by a revelation of Jesus Christ.
by reading which you can understand my knowledge of the mystery of Christ,??5 which in other generations was not made known to the children of men as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit,
For his invisible [attributes] are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being perceived by the things which are made, even his eternal power and deity, so that they have no defense,
although indeed he left not himself without a witness, doing good, giving rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
The God who made the world and all things in it, this [God] being Lord of heaven and earth dwells not in temples made with hands, neither is he served by the hands of men as needing any thing, since he gives to all life, and breath, and all things; and he made of one blood every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth, determining their appointed times and the bounds of their habitation,read more.
that they should seek God, if perhaps they might feel after and find him, and indeed he is not far from every one of us.
For God's righteousness is revealed in it by faith in the faith [the gospel]; as it is written; The righteous shall live by faith.

Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shown you from the Father; for which of these works do you stone me?
If you had known me you would have known my Father; and from this time you know him and have seen him.
now we know that you know all things, and have no need that any one should ask you; on this account we believe that you have come forth from God.
And this is the eternal life; that they shall know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.
that your hearts may be comforted, being united in love and [raised] to all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God,
who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his purpose and grace given us in Christ Jesus from eternity, but made known now through the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who destroyed death, and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,
who was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but made manifest in these last times for you, who through him believed in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope may be in God.
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;
and I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, to be with you forever, the Spirit of truth, which the world cannot receive, because it beholds it not nor knows it; but you know it, because it continues with you, and shall be in you.
But when the Comforter has come, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me;
I have many things yet to say to you, but you cannot bear them now; but when he, the Spirit of truth has come, he will lead you in all the truth; for he will not speak of himself, but he will speak whatever he shall hear, and tell you things to come. He shall glorify me, because he shall receive from me and tell you.read more.
All things that the Father has, are mine; on this account I said, He shall receive of me and tell you.
And when they had prayed the place was shaken in which they were assembled, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke the word of God with boldness.
but as it is written, An eye has not seen, an ear has not heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those that love him; but God has revealed them to us by his Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who knows the [things] of man, except the spirit of man which is in him? So also no one knows the [things] of God except the Spirit of God.
For to one is given by the Spirit a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge by the same Spirit,
that he would grant to you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through the faith, you being founded and established in love, that you may be able to apprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length, and depth and height,read more.
and to know the love of Christ which exceeds knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
to whom it was revealed that they ministered not to themselves but to us those things which have now been declared to you by those who preached to you the good news, with the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, into which the angels desire to look.
For this is the will of God, your purity, that you should abstain from fornication, that each one should know how to have his wife in purity and honor, not with inordinate desires like the gentiles who know not God,
He that loves not has not known God; for God is love.
