30 Bible Verses about Nobles

Do not put yourself forth in the presence of the king, and do not stand in the place of the great; for it is better that it should be said to you, Come up here, than that you should be put lower in the presence of a noble whom your eyes have seen.

Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand. And David's servants came into the land of the sons of Ammon to Hanun, in order to comfort him. But the rulers of the sons of Ammon said to Hanun, Is David honoring your father in your eyes, because he has sent comforters to you? Have not his servants come to you to search and to overthrow and to spy out the land?

The rulers of the peoples are gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham; for the shields of the earth are God's; He is lifted up on high.

By me kings reign and princes decree justice. Princes rule by me, and nobles, all the judges of the earth.

And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters; they came to the cisterns, and found no water. They returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.

He removes the speech of the men of trust, and takes away the understanding of the aged. He pours scorn on princes, and unties the belt of the mighty.

He pours scorn on nobles, and causes them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no path.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to carry out vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples, to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with iron-bands,

For this My people go into exile without knowledge, and their honorable men into famine, and his multitude is dried up with thirst. So hell has enlarged itself, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, and their multitude, and their pride, and he who rejoices in her, shall go down into it.

They shall call its nobles to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her rulers shall be nothing.

Yet she went into exile; she went into captivity, and her young children also were dashed to pieces at the head of all the streets; and they cast lots for her honorable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.
