Joseph saw that they were upset when he came to them in the morning.

He asked these officials of Pharaoh who were with him in his master's prison: Why do you look so unhappy today?

He said to his brothers: My money has been put back! It is right here in my sack! They wanted to die. They trembled and turned to each other and asked: What has God done to us?

Moses reported this to the Israelites. But they would not listen to him. For they were so discouraged by their backbreaking work.
