When a man vows a vow unto the LORD or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not defile his word: he shall do according to all that proceeded out of his mouth.

Every vow and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void. But if her husband remained silent regarding this from day to day; then he establishes all her vows or all her bonds, which are upon her; he confirms them because he remained silent regarding this in the day that he heard them. But if he shall in any way make them void after that he has heard them, then he shall bear her iniquity.

2 Kings 23:3

And the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the LORD, that they would walk after the LORD and keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in that book.
