But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see and have not seen them and to hear those things which ye hear and have not heard them.

The heart of the man of understanding acquires wisdom, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the LORD has made both of them.

When Jesus therefore saw his mother and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he said unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then he said to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

And he said unto the redeemer, Naomi, that is come again out of the field of Moab, sold a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech's, and I decided to cause thee to know this and tell thee to take it before the inhabitants and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it, but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me that I may know, for there is no one to redeem it besides thee, and I after thee. And he said, I will redeem it. Then Boaz replied, The day that thou dost receive the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must also receive Ruth, the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.

And whosoever shall receive one such little child in my name receives me.

Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receives me; and whosoever shall receive me, receives not me, but him that sent me.

and said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receives me, and whosoever shall receive me receives him that sent me; for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

for I was hungry, and ye gave me food; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in;

And all that believed were together and had all things common and sold their possessions and property and distributed them to everyone, as each one had need.

And of the multitude of those that had believed was one heart and one soul; no one said that anything he possessed was his own, but they had all things common.

rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

And my affliction which was in my flesh ye did not despise, nor reject but ye received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

But the natural man does not perceive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

that ye may approve the best, that ye may be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ,

Examine all things; retain that which is good.

But strong food belongs to those that are perfect, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

But I fear that as the serpent deceived Eve through his craftiness, so your senses should be corrupted in some way, and ye should fall from the simplicity that is in the Christ. Therefore if anyone comes preaching another Jesus whom we have not preached or if ye receive another spirit from that which ye have received or another gospel from that which ye have accepted, ye bear well with it.

Keep yourselves, therefore, that your heart not be deceived and ye turn aside and serve other gods and worship them;

For it came to pass when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods, and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David, his father.

With her much fair speech she caused him to yield; with the flattering of her lips she persuaded him.

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the traditions of men, according to the elements of the world, and not after Christ.

Be not taken out of the way with diverse and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace, not with foods which have not profited those that have been occupied with them.

For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out her roots by the river and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green and shall not be fatigued in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed; blessed are those that have not seen and yet have believed.

And when he saw the multitude, he was moved with compassion on them because they fainted and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

Like as a father has mercy upon his children, so the LORD has mercy upon those that fear him. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.

Be not ye therefore like unto them, for your Father knows what things ye have need of before ye ask him.

Then Jesus called his disciples unto him and said, I have mercy on the multitude because they persevere with me now three days and have nothing to eat, and I desire not to send them away fasting lest they faint in the way.

I have mercy on the multitude because they have now been with me three days and have nothing to eat; And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way, for some of them came from afar.

And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said unto her, Weep not.

casting all your cares upon him, for he cares for you.

Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my groaning is not hid from thee.

And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication that thou hast made in my presence. I have sanctified this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever, and my eyes and my heart shall be there all the days.

And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and have chosen this place for myself for a house of sacrifice.

Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity, for the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping. The LORD has heard my supplication; the LORD has received my prayer.

I waited patiently for the LORD, and he inclined unto me and heard my cry.

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those that do evil.

O Israel, become converted unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. Take with you words, and be converted unto the LORD; say unto him, Take away all iniquity and receive us graciously, so will we render the calves of our lips. Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses, neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods, for in thee the fatherless finds mercy.read more.
I will heal their rebellion; I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from them.

Then David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also has taken away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

Again, when the wicked man leaves his wickedness that he has committed and lives according to judgment and righteousness, he shall cause his soul to live. Because he saw and left all his rebellions that he has committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in mercy, and he does repent of chastisement.

And God saw their works, because they turned from their evil way, and he repented of the evil that he had said that he would do unto them, and he did not do it.

Therefore thus hath the LORD said, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.

And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

For let not such a man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on his name, who are not born of blood, nor of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

He that receives you receives me, and he that receives me receives him that sent me.

So that those who gladly received his word were baptized, and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that God has given us. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but with doctrine of the Holy Spirit, jointly fitting spiritual things by spiritual means. But he that is spiritual discerns all things, yet he is discerned by no one. For who has known the understanding of the Lord? Who has instructed him? But we have the understanding of Christ.

For those that are according to the flesh know the things that are of the flesh; but those that are according to the Spirit, the things that are of the Spirit.

But she shall be more blessed if she so abides, after my counsel, and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

He that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the congregations ; To him that overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the wise that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary; he wakes up early, early shall he awaken my ear, that I might hear, as the wise. The Lord GOD has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.

But if from there, thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

And thou, Solomon, my son, know thou the God of thy father and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing soul, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
