But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t brag and deny the truth. Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil.
One who isolates himself pursues selfish desires;
he rebels against all sound judgment.

Don’t associate with those who drink too much wine
or with those who gorge themselves on meat.
They became callous and gave themselves over to promiscuity for the practice of every kind of impurity with a desire for more and more.
This is why God delivered them over to degrading passions. For even their females exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. The males in the same way also left natural relations with females and were inflamed in their lust for one another. Males committed shameless acts with males and received in their own persons the appropriate penalty of their error. For those who live according to the flesh think about the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, about the things of the Spirit.
Turn my heart to Your decrees
and not to material gain.
