Exodus 4:11-12

Deuteronomy 18:15-22

Jehovah your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your fellow Israelites. Listen to him! I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you. I will put my words in his mouth. He will speak to them all that I command him. Whoever refuses to listen to the words that the prophet speaks in my name will answer to me. Any prophet who dares to say something in my name that I did not command him to say or who speaks in the name of other gods must die. You may wonder: How shall we recognize that Jehovah did not speak this message? If a prophet speaks in Jehovah's name and what he says does not happen or come true, then it did not come from Jehovah. That prophet has spoken on his own authority. Never be afraid of him.'

1 Samuel 3:19-21

Samuel grew up. Jehovah was with him and did not let any of his words go unfulfilled (fail). All Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew Samuel was Jehovah's appointed prophet. Jehovah continued to appear in Shiloh, since Jehovah revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh through the word of Jehovah. And Samuel spoke to all Israel.

2 Chronicles 36:12-16

Jehovah the God of their ancestors repeatedly sent messages through his prophets because he wanted to spare his people and his dwelling place. They mocked God's messengers. They despised his words, and made fun of his prophets until Jehovah became angry with his people. He could no longer heal them.

Isaiah 6:1-8

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw (discerned) Jehovah seated on a throne, high and exalted. The train of his robe filled the Temple. Above him were seraphs, each with six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. They called to one another: Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of Hosts. At the sound of their voices the foundations and thresholds trembled and the Temple was filled with smoke. Woe to me! I cried. I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips (a sinner) and I live among a people of unclean (filthy) lips (speech) (language). My eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of Hosts. Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand. With tongs he seized it from the altar. He touched my mouth with it and said: See! Jeremiah 23:21-22

I did not send these prophets, but they ran. I did not speak to them, but they prophesied. If they had stood in my council they would have announced my words to my people. They would have turned them back from their evil way and from the evil of their deeds.

Ezekiel 1:3

The word of Jehovah (YHWH) spoke to Ezekiel the priest, son of Buzi. It was in Babylon by the Chebar River. The power of Jehovah came upon him.

Ezekiel 2:3-5

He said: Son of man, I am sending you to the people of Israel. They are people from a nation that has rebelled against me. They and their ancestors have transgressed against me to this day. Jehovah said to me: Son of man, eat what you find. Eat this scroll. Then speak to the people of Israel. I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat. He said: Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you, and fill your stomach with it. So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.read more.
He then said to me: Son of man, go to the people of Israel and speak my words to them. I am not sending you to people whose language is hard to understand or difficult to speak. I am sending you to Israel. I am not sending you to nations whose language is hard to understand, difficult to speak, or whose words you cannot understand. If I send you to those nations they will certainly listen to you. But the people of Israel will refuse to listen to you because they refuse to listen to me. All the people of Israel are very stubborn and hardheaded. Yet, I will make you as stubborn and as hardheaded as they are. I will make you as hard as a diamond, harder than flint stone. Do not be afraid of them. Do not be terrified in their presence, even though they are rebellious people. He also said: Son of man, take to heart everything I have spoken to you, and listen closely.

Hosea 6:5

Therefore I cut you in pieces by my prophets. I have killed you with the words of my mouth. My judgments flashed like lightning upon you.

Joel 2:28-29

In the last days I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions! (Ac 2:17; Isa 44:3) I will also pour out my Spirit upon the male and female servants in those days. (Ac 10:45; Zec 12:10; Eze 36:27)

Amos 3:7-8

The Lord Jehovah will do nothing without revealing his secrets to his servants the prophets. The lion has roared. Who will not fear? The Lord Jehovah has spoken! Who will not prophesy?

1 Peter 1:10-12

Concerning this salvation the prophets inquired and searched diligently! They prophesied about the grace that should come to you: searching what time or what manner of time the spirit of Christ that was in them did point to, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow them. God revealed to the prophets that the things they spoke were not for their own benefit but for yours. The Holy Spirit was sent from heaven to make known to you what the prophets spoke. Those who spread the good news to you did this. These are things even the angels want to look into.

Revelation 10:7

But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he will sound his trumpet, the secret of God is finished, just as he declared to his servants the prophets.
