The sky was swept away just like a scroll that is rolled up; and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. The kings of the earth, the great men, the military leaders, the rich, the mighty -- everybody, whether slaves or free hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they said to the mountains and the rocks: "Fall on us and conceal us from the sight of Him who is seated on the throne, and from the anger of the Lamb, because the great day of their anger has come, and who can stand it?"

When He broke the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. So the smoke of the incense went up from the angel's hand to the presence of God for the prayers of His people. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and flung it to the earth, and there followed peals of thunder with its rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake. The star is called Absinthus, that is, Wormwood. So one-third of the waters turned to wormwood, and great numbers of people died of the waters, because they had turned bitter. Then the fourth angel blew his trumpet, and one-third of the sun was cursed with a plague, and one-third of the moon, and one-third of the stars, so that one-third of them were darkened, and there was no light for one-third of the day and for one-third of the night. Then I looked, and I heard an eagle flying in mid-air say in a loud voice, "Alas! Alas! Alas for the inhabitants of the earth because of the remaining blasts of the three angels who are going to blow their trumpets!"

Then the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky upon the earth. To this angel the key to the pit of the abyss was given, and he opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke like the smoke of a huge furnace puffed up out of the pit, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit. Out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, but the power that was given to them was like the power of earthly scorpions. read more.
They were told not to injure the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only the people who did not have the mark of God's seal on their foreheads. They were not permitted to kill them, but only to torture them for five months, and the torture they inflicted was like the torture of a scorpion when it stings a man. In those days people will look for death but will not find it, they will long to die but death will flee from them. The locusts look like horses armed for battle; on their heads were what appeared to be crowns of gold; their faces were like human faces; they had hair that looked like women's hair; their teeth were like lions' teeth; they had breastplates that seemed to be made of steel; the noise of their wings was like the noise of vast numbers of chariots and horses rushing into battle; they had tails like scorpions with stings in them, so in their tails their power lay to injure men for five months. They had over them as king the angel of the abyss; in Hebrew he is called Abaddon, in Greek, Apollyon. The first woe is past. See! Two other woes are yet to come. Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a voice from the corners of the altar of gold that was before God say to the sixth angel who had the trumpet: "Turn loose the four angels that are bound at the river Euphrates." Then the four angels that were kept in readiness for that hour and day and month and year were turned loose to kill one-third of mankind. The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard their number. In my vision the horses and the horsemen looked like this: Their breastplates were red, blue, and yellow; the horses' heads were like lions' heads, and fire, smoke, and sulphur kept pouring out of their mouths. One-third of mankind was killed by these three plagues: the fire, smoke, and sulphur that kept pouring out of their mouths. For the power of the horses lay in their mouths and their tails; their tails were like snakes, and they had heads with which they injured people. But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works their hands had done, so as to give up worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot either see or hear or move; and they never did repent of their murders, their practices in magic, their immorality, or their thefts.

Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was clothed in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head; his face was like the sun, his legs were like pillars of fire, and he had a little book open in his hand. He set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, and in a loud voice he shouted like the roaring of a lion; and when he had shouted, the seven thunders rumbled. read more.
When the seven thunders had rumbled, I was going to write it down, but I heard a voice from heaven say: "Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down!" Then the angel, whom I had seen standing on the sea and on the land, raised his right hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created the heavens and all that they contain, the earth and all that it contains, and the sea and all that it contains, that there should be no more delay, but in the days when the seventh angel speaks, when he is about to blow his trumpet, then God's mysterious message, in accordance with the good news He gave to His slaves, the prophets, would be accomplished.

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and loud voices were heard in heaven, saying, "The sovereignty of the world has come into the possession of our Lord and His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever." Then the twenty-four elders who were seated on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: "We give you thanks, Lord God Almighty, who are and were, because you have assumed your great power and begun to reign. read more.
The heathen were enraged, but now your anger has come, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for you to reward your slaves the prophets and your people, great and small, who revere your name, and to destroy the destroyers of the earth." Then the doors of God's temple in heaven were thrown open, and inside the temple was seen the chest containing God's covenant, and there followed flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and heavy hail.

You must stop offending the Holy Spirit of God by whom you have been stamped for the day of redemption.

and put His seal upon us, and given us His Spirit in our hearts as a first installment of future rewards.

You too, as you have heard the message of the truth, the good news that means your salvation, and as you have trusted in Him too, have been stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit,

Then I saw in the right hand of Him who was seated on the throne a book with writing on both sides, sealed with seven seals.

When the seven thunders had rumbled, I was going to write it down, but I heard a voice from heaven say: "Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down!"

So off they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the boulder and setting a guard.

Jesus answered them, "I most solemnly say to you, you are looking for me, not because of the wonder-works you saw, but because you ate the loaves and had plenty. Stop toiling for the food that perishes, but toil for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, for God the Father has given Him authority to do so."

Afterward he received the mark of circumcision as God's seal of his right standing with Him on condition of faith which he had before he was circumcised, that he might be the forefather of all who have faith while still uncircumcised, that they might have their faith credited to them as right standing with God;

Whoever does accept His testimony has certified with a seal that God is true.
