But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret, and thy Father who seeth in secret, will reward thee openly.
But so much the more a fame of him went abroad: and great multitudes came together to hear and to be healed by him of their infirmities. And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out to a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

And he said to them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. And they departed into a desert place in a boat privately.
Neither did I go to Jerusalem to them who were apostles before me: but I went into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
