And the multitude rose up together against them; and the magistrates, having torn off their garments, were giving orders to beat them with rods;
"But when ye see Jerusalem encompassed by armies, then know that her desolation has drawn near. Then let those in Judaea flee into the mountains; and let those in the midst of it depart; and let not those in the country enter therein; because these are days of vengeance, that all the things written may be fulfilled.read more.
Woe to the women with child, and to those giving suck, in those days; for there will be great distress on the land, and wrath to this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led away captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by gentiles, until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled.
