And his disciples inquired of him, saying, Rabbi, who was in fault, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man been in fault, nor his parents; but it is in order to make manifest the works of God in him.
And be not afraid of those who kill the body, and cannot kill the soul: but fear him rather who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he reply to them, saying, For as much as ye have not done it to one of the least of these, neither have ye done it to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
For judgment without mercy shall be on him who shewed no mercy, and mercy glorieth against judgment.
And if the righteous man is hardly saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Render to her as she also hath done to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she hath mingled mingle for her double. As much as she hath glorified herself, and rioted in luxury, so much torment and sorrow give her: because she hath said in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
