If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as if living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to decrees, "Handle not, taste not, touch not," (which are all for destruction in the using), according to the commandments and teachings of men?

And there comes one of the synagogue-rulers, Jairus by name; and, seeing Him, he falls at His feet, and beseeches Him much, saying, "My little daughter is extremely ill; I pray that, coming, Thou wilt lay Thy hands upon her, that she may be healed and live." And He went away with him; and a great multitude was following Him, and they were thronging Him.read more.
And a woman, having a flow of blood twelve years, and having suffered many things under many physicians, and having spent all that she had, and having been profited nothing, but rather coming into the worse state, having heard the things concerning Jesus, coming in the crowd behind, touched His garment. But Jesus, disregarding the word spoken, saith to the synagogue-ruler, "Fear not, only believe." And He permitted no one to follow with Him, except Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. And they come to the house of the synagogue-ruler; and He beholds a tumult, and people weeping and wailing greatly. And, having entered, He saith to them, "Why do ye make a tumult, and weep? the child did not die, but she is sleeping." And they were deriding Him. But He, having put them all out, taketh with Him the father of the child, and the mother, and those with Him, and goeth in where the child was. And, having taken hold of the child's hand, He saith to her, "Talitha cumi;" which is, being interpreted, "Damsel, (I say to you), arise." And straight-way the damsel arose, and walked; for she was twelve years old. And straightway they were amazed with great amazement.

And, behold, there came a man whose name was Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue; and, falling down near Jesus' feet, he was beseeching Him to come into his house; because he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying! While He is yet speaking, there comes one from the ruler of the synagogue, saying, "Your daughter has died; trouble not the Teacher." But Jesus, hearing it, answered him, "Fear not; only believe; and she shall be made whole!" And, coming into the house, He permitted no one to enter with Him, except Peter, and James, and John, and the father of the maiden, and her mother. And they were all weeping, and bewailing her; but He said, "Weep not; for she did not die, but is sleeping." And they were deriding Him, knowing that she died. But He, taking her by the hand, called, saying, "Maiden, arise." And her spirit returned to her, and she rose up instantly; and He commanded that something should be given to her to eat.

And, going forward, He touched the bier; and those bearing it stood still; and He said, "Young man, I say to you, Arise!"

And the disciples, hearing it, fell on their face, and were exceedingly afraid. And Jesus came near, and, touching them, said, "Arise, and be not afraid."

And they were bringing little children to Him, that He might touch them; and the disciples rebuked them.

Then were brought to Him little children, that He might put His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them.

And they were bringing to Him their babes, also, that He might touch them; but the disciples, seeing it, were rebuking them.

That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we gazed upon, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life

But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples, therefore, said to him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and press my hand into His side, I will not believe." And, after eight days, again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace be to you!"read more.
Then He saith to Thomas, "Reach hither your finger, and see My hands; and reach hither your hand, and press it into My side; and be not faithless, but believing."

By faith he has instituted the passover, and the applying of the blood, lest the destroyer of the first-born should touch them.

Wherefore, "Come ye out from among them, and be ye separate," saith the Lord, "and touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you;
