Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers, for what participation [is there between] righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship [does] light [have] with darkness?

And why are you anxious about clothing? Observe the lilies of the field, how they grow: they do not toil or spin,

So I quarreled with them and cursed them and beat some of their men and pulled out their hair. I made them take an oath by God: "Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons or for yourselves.

Then the sons of God saw the daughters of humankind, that they [were] beautiful. And they took for themselves wives from all that they chose.
