'Certainly' in the Bible
For I assure you that unless your righteousness greatly surpasses that of the Scribes and the Pharisees, you will certainly not find entrance into the Kingdom of the Heavens.
Most certainly I tell you, you shall by no means get out of there, until you have paid the last penny.
Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don't sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
"When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward.
"Moreover when you fast, don't be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to those who followed, "Most certainly I tell you, I haven't found so great a faith, not even in Israel.
Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel, until the Son of Man has come.
Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward."
Most certainly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he.
For most certainly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn't see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn't hear them.
What was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, who most certainly bears fruit, and brings forth, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty."
Then the men in the boat began to worship Jesus, saying, "You certainly are the Son of God!"
Because God said, "You are to honor your father and your mother,' and, "Whoever curses father or mother must certainly be put to death.'
Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste of death, until they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom."
He said to them, "Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
and said, "Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
If he finds it, most certainly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray.
Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven.
Jesus said to his disciples, "Most certainly I say to you, a rich man will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven with difficulty.
Jesus said to them, "Most certainly I tell you that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Jesus answered them, "Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith, and don't doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it would be done.
Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said to him, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Most certainly I tell you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering into the Kingdom of God before you.
Most certainly I tell you, all these things will come upon this generation.
But he answered them, "You see all of these things, don't you? Most certainly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down."
because at that time there will be great suffering, the kind that hasn't happened from the beginning of the world until now and certainly won't ever happen again.
I assure you: This generation will certainly not pass away until all these things take place.
Most certainly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.
But the wise ones answered saying, "Certainly there will never be enough for us and for you! Go instead to those who sell [olive oil] and buy [some] for yourselves.'
But he answered, 'Most certainly I tell you, I don't know you.'
"The King will answer them, 'Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'
"Then he will answer them, saying, 'Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you didn't do it to one of the least of these, you didn't do it to me.'
Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial of her."
As they were eating, he said, "Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me."
But Peter told him, "Even if everyone else turns against you, I certainly won't!"
Jesus said to him, "Most certainly I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times."
After a little while those standing there approached and said to Peter, “You certainly are one of them, since even your accent gives you away.”
When the centurion and those guarding Jesus with him saw the earthquake and the other things that were taking place, they were terrified and said, "This man certainly was the Son of God!"
Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;
Because Moses said, "Honor your father and your mother,' and, "Whoever curses his father or mother must certainly be put to death.'
He sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Most certainly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation."
He said to them, "Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see the Kingdom of God come with power."
But I tell you that Elijah has certainly come, and they did to him whatever they wanted, just as it is written about him."
For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you are Christ's, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.
Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it."
Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News,
For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and doesn't doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening; he shall have whatever he says.
He called his disciples to himself, and said to them, "Most certainly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury,
because those days will be a time of suffering, a kind that has not happened from the beginning of God's creation until now, and certainly will never happen again.
I assure you: This generation will certainly not pass away until all these things take place.
Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News may be preached throughout the whole world, that which this woman has done will also be spoken of for a memorial of her."
As they sat and were eating, Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, one of you will betray me -- he who eats with me."
Most certainly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it anew in the Kingdom of God."

But again he denied it. After a little while those standing there said to Peter again, “You certainly are one of them, since you’re also a Galilean!”
When the centurion who stood facing Jesus saw how he had cried out and breathed his last, he said, "This man certainly was the Son of God!"
All who heard them kept them in mind, saying, “What then will this child turn out to be?” For the hand of the Lord was certainly with him.
And he said unto them, 'Certainly ye will say to me this simile, Physician, heal thyself; as great things as we heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country;'
He said, "Most certainly I tell you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.
But I say to you, there were certainly many widows in Israel in Elijah’s days, when the sky was shut up for three years and six months while a great famine came over all the land.
But I tell you most certainly, there are some standing here who will not experience death before they see the kingdom of God."
If you then, with all your human frailty, know how to give your children gifts that are good for them, how much more certainly will your Father who is in Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"
But if God so clothes the vegetation in the fields, that blooms to-day and to-morrow will be thrown into the oven, how much more certainly will He clothe you, you men of feeble faith!
Blessed are those servants, whom the lord will find watching when he comes. Most certainly I tell you, that he will dress himself, and make them recline, and will come and serve them.
I tell you, certainly not. On the contrary, if you are not penitent you will all perish as they did.
I tell you, certainly not. On the contrary, if you do not repent you will all perish just as they did."
Once the head of the house gets up and closes the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock on the door [again and again], saying, ‘Lord, open to us!’ then He will answer you, ‘I do not know where you are from [for you are not of My household].’
but He will say to you, ‘I do not know where you are from; depart from Me, all you evildoers!’
He said to His disciples, “Offenses will certainly come, but woe to the one they come through!
Most certainly, I tell you, whoever doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it."
He said to them, "Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for the Kingdom of God's sake,
who shall not certainly receive many times as much in this life, and in the age that is coming the Life of the Ages."
I assure you: This generation will certainly not pass away until all things take place.
for I tell you that I certainly shall not eat one again till its full meaning has been brought out in the Kingdom of God."
About an hour later, another kept insisting, “This man was certainly with Him, since he’s also a Galilean.”
"Are you the Christ? Tell us." "If I tell you," He replied, "you will certainly not believe;
and if I ask you questions, you will certainly not answer.
And when he learned that He belonged to the jurisdiction of Herod [Antipas, the tetrarch of Galilee], he sent Him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time.
Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
who said, “The Lord has certainly been raised, and has appeared to Simon!”
He said to him, "Most certainly, I tell you, hereafter you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."
Jesus answered him, "Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can't see the Kingdom of God."
Jesus answered, "Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can't enter into the Kingdom of God!
Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know, and testify of that which we have seen, and you don't receive our witness.

All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.
Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has eternal life.
Jesus therefore said to them, "Most certainly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you don't have life in yourselves.

Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death."
Jesus said to them, "Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM."
