'Days' in the Bible
Now [after] Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem,
Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the Judean wilderness
and [after he] had fasted forty days and forty nights, then he was hungry.
And Jesus said to them, "{The bridegroom's attendants} are not able to mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them. But days are coming when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.
But from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven is treated violently, and the violent claim it.
For just as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
And Jesus summoned his disciples [and] said, "I have compassion on the crowd, because they have remained with me three days already and do not have anything to eat, and I do not want to send them away hungry lest they give out on the way."
And after six days Jesus took along Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves.
and you say, 'If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partners with them in the blood of the prophets!'
And woe to those {who are pregnant} and to those who are nursing [their babies] in those days!
And unless those days had been shortened, {no human being would be saved}. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened.
"And immediately after the tribulation of those days, 'the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be shaken.'
For just as the days of Noah [were], so the coming of the Son of Man will be.
For as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark.
"You know that after two days the Passover takes place, and the Son of Man will be handed over in order to be crucified."
[and] said, "This man said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild [it] within three days.'"
and saying, "The one who would destroy the temple and rebuild [it] in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!"
saying, "Sir, we remember that [while] that deceiver was still alive he said, 'After three days I will rise.'
teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the age."
