'Delivered' in the Bible

For the choir director. A Psalm of David the servant of the Lord, who spoke to the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said,“I love You, O Lord, my strength.”

He delivered me from my strong enemy,And from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me.

You have delivered me from the contentions of the people;You have placed me as head of the nations;A people whom I have not known serve me.

To You they cried out and were delivered;In You they trusted and were not disappointed.

The king is not saved by a mighty army;A warrior is not delivered by great strength.

I sought the Lord, and He answered me,And delivered me from all my fears.

For He has delivered me from all trouble,And my eye has looked with satisfaction upon my enemies.

For You have delivered my soul from death,Indeed my feet from stumbling,So that I may walk before GodIn the light of the living.

That Your beloved may be delivered,Save with Your right hand, and answer us!

They will be delivered over to the power of the sword;They will be a prey for foxes.

Deliver me from the mire and do not let me sink;May I be delivered from my foes and from the deep waters.

He also delivered His people to the sword,And was filled with wrath at His inheritance.

For Your lovingkindness toward me is great,And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble;He delivered them out of their distresses.

He sent His word and healed them,And delivered them from their destructions.
