'Free' in the Bible
But if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be free from this my oath; only do not take my son back there.”
then you will be free from my oath, when you come to my relatives; and if they do not give her to you, you will be free from my oath.’
“If you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve for six years; but on the seventh he shall go out as a free man without payment.
But if the slave plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife and my children; I will not go out as a free man,’

He shall then sprinkle seven times the one who is to be cleansed from the leprosy and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the live bird go free over the open field.
However, he shall let the live bird go free outside the city into the open field. So he shall make atonement for the house, and it will be clean.”
‘Now if a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave acquired for another man, but who has in no way been redeemed nor given her freedom, there shall be punishment; they shall not, however, be put to death, because she was not free.
But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, she will then be free and conceive children.
Moreover, the man will be free from guilt, but that woman shall bear her guilt.’”
We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic,
and the land is subdued before the Lord, then afterward you shall return and be free of obligation toward the Lord and toward Israel, and this land shall be yours for a possession before the Lord.
