'Greater' in the Bible
because he is worthy of greater glory than Moses in the same way that the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself.
For when God made his promise to Abraham, he swore an oath by himself, since he had no one greater to swear by.
For people swear by someone greater than themselves, and an oath given as confirmation puts an end to all argument.
But when the Messiah came as a high priest of the good things that have come, he went through the greater and more perfect tent that was not made by human hands and that is not a part of this creation.
He thought that being insulted for the sake of the Messiah was of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.
