“Judah is a lion’s whelp;From the prey, my son, you have gone up.He couches, he lies down as a lion,And as a lion, who dares rouse him up?

From the God of your father who helps you,And by the Almighty who blesses youWith blessings of heaven above,Blessings of the deep that lies beneath,Blessings of the breasts and of the womb.

Likewise, whoever lies down in the house shall wash his clothes, and whoever eats in the house shall wash his clothes.

Every bed on which the person with the discharge lies becomes unclean, and everything on which he sits becomes unclean.

‘Cursed is he who lies with his mother-in-law.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

Of Gad he said,“Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad;He lies down as a lion,And tears the arm, also the crown of the head.

From there the border continued to Luz, to the side of Luz (that is, Bethel) southward; and the border went down to Ataroth-addar, near the hill which lies on the south of lower Beth-horon.
