We comforted and encouraged you, urging you to live in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.
Now then, brothers, you learned from us how you ought to live and to please God, as in fact you are doing. We ask and encourage you in the Lord to do so even more.
Also, make it your goal to live quietly, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we instructed you,
who died for us in order that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.
Hold them in the highest regard, loving them because of their work. Live in peace with each other.
