'Nations' in the Bible

Why do the nations rebeland the peoples plot in vain?

Ask of Me,and I will make the nations Your inheritanceand the ends of the earth Your possession.

Let the assembly of the nations gather around you, and you will sit high above them.

For the LORD will judge the nations. Judge me according to my righteousness, LORD, and according to my integrity, Exalted One.
