'Talking' in the Bible

When David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan and David became bound together in close friendship. Jonathan loved David as much as he did his own life.

He answered her, "While I was talking to Naboth the Jezreelite, I said to him, 'Sell me your vineyard for silver, or if you prefer, I will give you another vineyard in its place.' But he said, 'I will not sell you my vineyard.'"

As they were walking along and talking, suddenly a fiery chariot pulled by fiery horses appeared. They went between Elijah and Elisha, and Elijah went up to heaven in a windstorm.

He was still talking to them when the messenger approached and said, "Look, the Lord is responsible for this disaster! Why should I continue to wait for the Lord to help?"

Now the king was talking to Gehazi, the prophet's servant, and said, "Tell me all the great things which Elisha has done."

They were talking to each other about all the things that had happened.

(Now Jesus had been talking about his death, but they thought he had been talking about real sleep.)

The disciples began to look at one another, worried and perplexed to know which of them he was talking about.

So they kept on repeating, "What is the meaning of what he says, 'In a little while'? We do not understand what he is talking about."

Peter continued talking with him as he went in, and he found many people gathered together.

Are they servants of Christ? (I am talking like I am out of my mind!) I am even more so: with much greater labors, with far more imprisonments, with more severe beatings, facing death many times.

And besides that, going around from house to house they learn to be lazy, and they are not only lazy, but also gossips and busybodies, talking about things they should not.
