'Kingdoms' in the Bible

“I commanded Joshua at that time: Your own eyes have seen everything the Lord your God has done to these two kings. The Lord will do the same to all the kingdoms you are about to enter.

The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will march out against them from one direction but flee from them in seven directions. You will be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

At that time Joshua turned back, captured Hazor, and struck down its king with the sword, because Hazor had formerly been the leader of all these kingdoms.

The terror of God was on all the kingdoms of the lands when they heard that Yahweh had fought against the enemies of Israel.

“Therefore, this is what the Lord says: You have not obeyed Me by proclaiming freedom, each man for his brother and for his neighbor. I hereby proclaim freedom for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“to the sword, to plague, and to famine! I will make you a horror to all the earth’s kingdoms.

About Kedar and the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadnezzar, Babylon’s king, defeated, this is what the Lord says:Rise up, go against Kedar,and destroy the people of the east!

You are My battle club,My weapons of war.With you I will smash nations;with you I will bring kingdoms to ruin.

Raise a signal flag in the land;blow a ram’s horn among the nations;set apart the nations against her.Summon kingdoms against her—Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz.Appoint a marshal against her;bring up horses like a swarm of locusts.

Egypt will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself over the nations. I will make them so small they cannot rule over the nations.

I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one king will rule over all of them. They will no longer be two nations and will no longer be divided into two kingdoms.

The kingdom, dominion, and greatness of the kingdoms under all of heaven will be given to the people, the holy ones of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will serve and obey Him.’

The four horns that took the place of the shattered horn represent four kingdoms. They will rise from that nation, but without its power.

Near the end of their kingdoms,when the rebels have reachedthe full measure of their sin,an insolent king, skilled in intrigue,will come to the throne.

Cross over to Calneh and see;go from there to great Hamath;then go down to Gath of the Philistines.Are you better than these kingdoms?Is their territory larger than yours?

I am against you.This is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts.I will lift your skirts over your faceand display your nakedness to nations,your shame to kingdoms.

Therefore, wait for Me—this is the Lord’s declaration—until the day I rise up for plunder.For My decision is to gather nations,to assemble kingdoms,in order to pour out My indignation on them,all My burning anger;for the whole earth will be consumedby the fire of My jealousy.

I will overturn royal thrones and destroy the power of the Gentile kingdoms. I will overturn chariots and their riders. Horses and their riders will fall, each by his brother’s sword.

Again, the Devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
