The Census Of David

⁶ But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them: for the king's command was abominable to Joab. ⁷ And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he struck Israel. ⁸ And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech you, take away the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.

Joshua 7:1

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.
