Then the angel of the Lord commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up and build an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
He was afraid and said, “
How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”
But you shall seek the Lord at the place which the Lord your God will choose from all your tribes, to establish His name there for His dwelling, and there you shall come.
2 Samuel 24:18
So Gad came to David that day and said to him, “
Go up, erect an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”
2 Chronicles 3:1
Then Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David, at the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

2 Kings 18:22
But if you say to me, ‘We trust in the Lord our God,’ is it not He whose high places and
whose altars Hezekiah has taken away, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, ‘You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem’?
2 Chronicles 32:12
Has not the same Hezekiah taken away His high places and His altars, and said to Judah and Jerusalem, “You shall worship before one altar, and on it you shall burn incense”?
