David Builds An Altar

¹ Then David said, “This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.” ² So David gave orders to gather the foreigners that were in the land of Israel, and he appointed stonecutters to cut finished stones for building God’s house.

2 Chronicles 3:1

Then Solomon began to build the Lord’s temple in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah where the Lord had appeared to his father David, at the site David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
