Solomon Is Made King

²¹ And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the next day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel. ²² So they ate and drank that day before the Lord with great gladness.And they made Solomon the son of David king a second time, and they anointed him as ruler for the Lord and Zadok as priest. ²³ Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David, his father, and was prospered; and all Israel heard him.

1 Chronicles 23:1

So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon, his son, king over Israel.

1 Kings 1:34-39
