The Genealogy Of Returned Exiles

¹ The people of Judah were carried away to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness. ² The first to resettle on their property and in their cities were some Israelites, priests, Levites, and temple servants.

1 Chronicles 5:25-26

But they were unfaithful to the God of their ancestors and worshiped instead the gods of the native peoples whom God had destroyed before them.

2 Chronicles 33:11

So the Lord brought against them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria. They seized Manasseh, put hooks in his nose, bound him with bronze chains, and carried him away to Babylon.
