he that commits sin is of the devil, for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this was the Son of God manifested, to destroy the works of the devil.

lest when I come again my God shall humble me before you, and I shall mourn for many who have sinned, and not changed their minds, in respect to impurity and fornication and lewdness which they have committed.

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Transgresseth

Wherefore by the works of the law there shall no flesh be justified is his sight, for by the law there is an acknowledgment of sin.

For the law produces wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression.

but if you respect persons, you commit sin, convicted by the law as transgressors.

For

All wickedness is sin, and there is sin not to death.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? By no means. On the contrary I knew not sin except through the law; for I had not known inordinate desire, unless the law had said, You shall not desire inordinately.
