he that says, he knows him, and does not keep his commandments, is a lyar, and an enemy to the truth:

whosoever adheres to him, sinneth not: whosoever sinneth, hath not seen him, he does not know him.

Jesus answered, if I honour'd my self, my honour would be vain: it is my father that honoureth me, of whom ye say, that he is your God.

This then is the commission we have from him, to declare unto you, that God is light, and in him there is no darkness.
