Solomon's Apostasy

⁴ For when Solomon was old, his wives turned his heart after other gods: so that his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. ⁵ And Solomon followed Ashtaroth the goddess of the Sidonians, and Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. ⁶ And Solomon wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD and continued not after the LORD as did David his father.
