The king sent for Moses and Aaron and told them: If you ask Jehovah to take these frogs away from me and my people, I will let your people go and offer sacrifices to him.

Pray to Jehovah! We have had enough of this thunder and hail! I promise to let you go. You do not have to stay here any longer.

Please forgive my sin one more time. Pray to Jehovah your God to take this deadly plague away from me.

Take your flocks and herds, too, as you asked. Just go! And bless me, too!

The people came to Moses and said: We sinned when we criticized Jehovah and you. Pray to Jehovah so that he will take the snakes away from us. So Moses prayed for the people.

They said to Samuel: Please pray to Jehovah your God for us, that we will not die. We now realize that we have added to all our sins the evil of asking for a (human) king.

King Zedekiah sent Jehucal son of Shelemiah and the priest Zephaniah son of Maaseiah to the prophet Jeremiah. They asked him: Please pray to Jehovah our God for us.

Simon answered: Pray to God for me, that none of these things that you have spoken will happen to me.
