And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place:
Balaam replied to the servants of Balak, “
Though Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not do anything, either small or great, contrary to the command of the Lord my God.

command of the Lord, either good or bad, of my own accord. What the Lord speaks, that I will speak’?
Then they said, “
The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please, let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God, otherwise He will fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword.”
You shall speak all that I command you, and your brother
Aaron shall speak to Pharaoh that he let the sons of Israel go out of his land.
And he swore to her, “Whatever you ask of me, I will give it to you; up to
half of my kingdom.”
2 Kings 5:16
