Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

Sarah laughed to herself, saying, “After I have become old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”

nor are they all children because they are Abraham’s descendants, but: “

through Isaac your

descendants will be named.”

For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the bondwoman and one by the free woman.

But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their

intimidation, and do not be troubled,

Sarah denied it however, saying, “I did not laugh”; for she was afraid. And He said, “No, but you did laugh.”

“Of whom were you worried and fearful
When you lied, and did not remember Me

Nor give Me a thought?

Was I not silent even for a long time
So you do not fear Me?

Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter.

Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and a servant-girl came to him and said, “You too were with Jesus the Galilean.”

Then Peter,

filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “

Rulers and elders of the people,

A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness.
